Presentations for the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science took place on Saturday, February 4th at Baldwin High School. 8th and 7th grade students from school districts around the Pittsburgh area made presentations on science experiments that they conducted on their own. Mary of Nazareth had one 8th grade student represent our school, Xiomara L. presented for the first time. We are very proud of Xiomara for competing and presenting. She took home a 2nd place finish and was given the University of Pittsburgh Excellence in Biology Award for her presentation of "How Do Invasive Species Spread So Quickly."
Again, Congratulation Xiomara for a job well done.
