English - Grammar rules; developing skills progressively.
Spelling - Focuses on phonetic spelling and the development thereof.
Mathematics - Focuses on place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, graphing, measurement and geometry, fractions and probability
Science - Life science (plants, animals, humans), physical science, earth science.
Social Studies - Regions of the United States of America; study of the State of Pennsylvania.
Creative Writing - Focuses on continuation of primary lessons through organizing & writing paragraphs, narrative expository, and persuasive papers.
Music - Learn basic musical notation, how to read and follow manuscript, sing in harmony within a group, liturgical music.
Computers - Students at this level will receive a letter grade for computers. Students will review and will be tested on all the parts of the computer. Students will have quizzes at this level. Students will begin graded typing with Ultra Key 5. Students will do in class assignments using all the basics of Microsoft Office Products. Students will have a project during the last nine weeks that will use all of their Microsoft Office Skills. Students learn age appropriate internet safety with the Carnegie Cyber Academy.

Students at this level will begin using more advanced Microsoft Office skills to get them ready for Middle School Technology. Students will have a project during the last nine weeks that will use all of their Microsoft Office Skills. Students learn age appropriate internet safety.
Composition - Students will be introduced to the 6 writing traits and various writing techniques. Students will have homework and in class assignments. Students will be able to use Criterion writing software to help them revise and edit their writing. The Criterion technology allows the students to have immediate feedback on their writing. This allows them to revise and edit their work while the ideas are fresh in their mind. Student's composition grade is part of their English grade.
